Quality Assurance Consultant#26-05460 Charlotte, NC Plano, TX On-site Contract Starts 7/01/2026 Ends 7/01/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves joining a team focused onmercial card services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium in an Agile environment to ensure the quality of web-based financial applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver Createprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases Perform API testing automation using tools like REST Assured or Postman Conduct regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation Collaborate with development teams to manage the defect lifecycle Work within a CI/CD pipeline environment (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) 7+ years of overall software quality assurance experience, with 5+ years focused on automation testing Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments Expert-level proficiency in Java for test automation development Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver Experience designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, data-driven frameworks) Solid understanding of test automation best practices, design patterns, and coding standards Experience with test execution and reporting tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) Strong skills in API testing automation (e.g., REST Assured, Postman with automation) Experience testing web-based applications, including cross-browser testing Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC Excellent problem-solving, debugging, verbal, and writtenmunication skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation initiatives Desired skills: Experience with mobile automation testing (Appium) Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) Knowledge of static code analysis and code quality tools ious experience mentoring or leading QA automation engineers Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and LLM observability Strong knowledge of the Payment domain in Banking Solid understanding of Financial terminology Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
