Quality Assurance Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team as a 1st shift employee. The ideal candidate will primarily responsible for managing a total Quality Management System for fiber optic products, from incoming inspection through manufacturing and on to customer delivery.

Essential Functions:

Acts as the Quality Management System Representative. Manages the Quality Management System designed to maintain a reliable flow of parts, components, and related materials to produce and ship the company's fiber optic product line. Additionally, ensure QMS compliance to

FDA QMSR

(21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015. Monitors all Quality related to purchased parts through to finished product. Participate in, and Log, Material Review Board (MRB) decisions for nonconforming material Overall responsibility for maintaining controlled procedures, controlled forms, work instructions, and other documentation required to preserve the integrity of the Quality Management System. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and metrics for management review Reviews all KPI monitors and measures on a regular basis for trends and compliance to corporate and department objectives. Manages all ISO, external customer, and internal audits, by scheduling, accompanying, or setting audit plans as required. Leads a team of internal auditors. Monitors the QMS to insure latest revisions go out to process holders and their subordinates, assuring training logs are current. Serves as plant safety officer, audits the plant for safety issues and concerns, publishes Safety Committee report. Acts as official correspondent to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and OSHA for the company. Acts as an information resource for all matters involving the ongoing quality assurance needs of the company.

Requirements:

3-5 years of Quality Management experience, or 5-8 years of Quality Supervisory experience in a light manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to think logically. Comfortable working in a team environment. Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Minitab a plus. Proficiency with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation a plus. Experience working with an Enterprise System is a plus.
