Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking someone with several years of hands-on experience as a manufacturing (industrial) engineer or technician in a metal fabrication environment and is also knowledgeable and experienced in QA methods and procedures. For the quality role, you will be responsible for making sure all parts and finished assemblies meet both internal and customer standards prior to shipping. On the production side, you will take a lead role in improving our fabrication and assembly processes, working with both our shop floor team and engineering to refine and grow our production capabilities while looking for opportunities to gain efficiencies and reduce cost. Quality Assurance Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies Inspect incoming raw materials and components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM and laser scanner Identify and document non-conformances and initiate root cause analysis and corrective action requests Facilitate and respond to customer or 3rd party QA audits Work directly with shop floor personnel, engineering and purchasing to resolve quality issues Maintain inspection records and calibration logs Develop and maintain quality control procedures and checklists Willingness to work in noisy environments as needed Manufacturing and Production Support Responsibilities Support introduction of new equipment, including writing standard operating procedure (SOP) documents, create shop floor layout drawings and equipment capacity planning Develop shop floor initiatives that reduce scrap and rework, while improving throughput and quality In collaboration with Engineering, provide hands-on troubleshooting and support on the manufacturing floor Select tooling, fixtures and equipment to support new and existing production work Review customer drawings and specifications to assess manufacturability and estimate labor and overhead costs for accurate quoting Assist engineering with the design, construction and testing of new products Qualifications Associate's (A.A.S.) or Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication or job shop environment Strong familiarity with common metal fab processes (CNC machining, forming, laser/plasma cutting, welding) Direct experience with implementing and managing QA/QC programs Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) software Key Competencies Quality and Continuous Improvement mindset Professional communication and follow-through High attention to detail Strong time management and prioritization Emotional control and de-escalation skills Team collaboration and accountability Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer, and communicate via phone and email Must be able to walk in the facility and work in an office environment What We Offer Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Paid family leave and other statutory benefits

Base Salary Range:
