Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Tech is responsible for efficiently and accurately performing tasks related to the testing of product, setting of samples, and follow-thru on several Quality Assurance programs
RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Supports all food safety and quality systems requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, certifying body, GFSI, and company requirements. Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees notifying them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production. Follow and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform in-process checks and ensure all products are within the specifications given. Familiarity with all applicable equipment and provide quality inspections on all related items. Calibrate and maintain delicate equipment such as PH meter, Scales, Nova link II, etc. Maintain a clean work environment in keeping with the 5S standards. Perform pre-operations inspections such as visually inspect equipment and perform ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) Swabs. Inspect all incoming components and approve production runs. Submit and track all samples via the ERP system. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to read, understand, and carry out verbal and written instructions . Possess basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft office suite. Work well in a face paced and always changing manufacturing environment. Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. Must be able to work in an environment where you are exposed to sensitive food ingredients and allergens. Required to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal Checks).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years of related experience preferred. Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constantly (minimum of 6 hrs. but up to 8 hrs.) stand throughout the shift. Frequently (up to 6 hrs.) walk, use hands/fingers, reach below shoulder level, stoop/kneel/crouch throughout the shift. Frequently (up to 6 hrs.) lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Occasionally (up to 3 hrs.) sit and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
