Job Description

Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in radio frequency technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector I (2nd Shift) to join our team in Akron, PA. For this position you would train on first shift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM) and after your training period would be changed to second shift (3:30 PM - 1:30 AM). The Quality Control Inspector I inspects, audits, and reports on materials, processes, and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the organization's quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Uses the ERP system to look up information as needed (i.e., part drawings, routings, instructions). Locates work instructions, assembly instructions, drawings, and any other necessary information in the database as needed. Correctly interprets internal or customer requirements on drawings and other documentation. Understands the work order packets (traveler: BOM, routings, family drawings, etc.) and ensures traceability of parts is maintained and routing operations are signed off properly. Correctly inspects parts to required inspection levels per internal or customer specified requirements. Measures parts with calipers and other equipment and has a good understanding of measuring units, especially millimeters and inches. Uses a microscope and inspect small parts as needed. Assists in packaging of parts and ensure compliance to all quality and customer standards. Keeps customer satisfaction as the priority. Keeps work areas neat, clean, and organized. Maintains regular, predictable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of quality experience. 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail; works methodically and efficiently. Good understanding of measuring units, especially millimeters and inches. Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications. Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers. Blueprint reading capabilities. Documentation and reporting skills. Teamwork and collaboration. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) and willingness to learn more. Working knowledge of quality standards and mil standards. Experience with IPC 620 standards or willingness to learn standard. Thorough knowledge of quality forms/records maintenance.
