Job Description
Seeking a Lab Technician to help with Quality Control testing for a color and plastic additives manufacturing lab. Technician will be responsible for the following testing: viscosity, color, spectrophotometer, titration, and Karl Fischer. Will be responsible for Excel documentation and using SAP. 1. Perform the color matching assigned by the Lab Manager at a high level of quality, within the requested time, using the approved components. 2. By following the FIFO rule, use the right components and blend samples to ship to the customer for tests and evaluations. 3. In cooperation with the Lab Manager, issue the SDS, TDS and QC; and, in cooperation with the Lab Manager, prepare any declaration requested by the customer. Be responsible for the filing and updating of any technical documentation. . 4. Ensure samples are labeled correctly. 5. Ensure the availability/accessibility of the documentation relating to the toxicity and / or classification of products and raw materials in relation to the various laws and regulations, including technical and safety data sheets, so as to manage and provide support to customers on environmental issues related to the production applications. 6. Regularly do the samples follow-up to determine if the product provided satisfied the customer's production process and color shade requirements. Be able to find solutions in the event some adjustments are necessary. 7. Perform Quality Control tests on finished products with maximum care so to ensure quality constancy and compliance with the specifications agreed upon with the customer. 8. Verify for approval/rejection on all incoming raw materials and verify that they meet the technical specifications agreed with suppliers. 9. Contribute to the definition of the specification of new products. 10. When requested to do so by the Lab Manager, give technical support and assistance through site visits to customers and or General / Sales Managers 11. During site visits to customers, be ready to report back to the Lab Manager about any element of applicative and technological knowledge, which may contribute to an overall improvement of the laboratory activities. 12. When requested represent Company at tradeshows or events. 13. In cooperation with the Lab Manager, inquire into any product complaints from customers, proposing corrective or preventive actions and verifying the effectiveness. 14. Manage and control the calibration of all laboratory equipment. 15. Perform tests and suggest instructions for the recovery on non-complying products returned by customers, or non-compliant production material. 16. Ensure the proper and correct flow of information to other colleagues derived from the experience gained, so this increases the technical of the Laboratory 17. Keep the working place and lab instruments clean and tidy. 18. Ensure in SAP all data regarding new formulations are completed in a timely manner. 19. - HS or AS or working towards BS
- Good work ethic, positive attitude
- Chemistry or biology coursework required

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00- $52000.
Employee health insurance coverage:
- Base, Mid, and Buy-up plans: 80% company-paid; 20% out-of-pocket for the employee, spouse and children.
