Job Description

We are committed to maintaining excellence across all aspects of our operations through rigorous quality standards and continuous improvement. We are growing and seeking an experienced Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager. This position will lead inspection and quality processes across our manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on fabricated equipment, welding inspection, documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding inspection experience , a working knowledge of inspection practices, and the ability to lead quality processes across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities across manufacturing operations Inspect materials, parts, weldments, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications Review supplier materials and components for quality, accuracy, and conformance Perform and/or support welding inspections and verify workmanship meets applicable standards Identify cosmetic, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, or fabrication defects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, flow charts, and technical specifications Maintain accurate inspection records, nonconformance reports, and quality documentation Lead corrective and preventive action efforts to address quality issues and improve processes Support internal audits, customer inspections, and compliance requirements Work closely with production, engineering, purchasing, and safety teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety Train, coach, and support team members on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices Help develop, update, and enforce QA/QC processes, procedures, and work instructions Organize and prioritize quality activities to meet production deadlines and customer expectations Required Qualifications 4-6+ years of QA/QC experience in mechanical, electrical, fabrication, or equipment manufacturing Welding inspection experience required Strong knowledge of QA/QC inspection practices, documentation, and reporting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and flow charts Experience using Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety procedures Ability to identify defects, determine root causes, and support corrective action Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with production and management teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with ISO, ASME, AWS, API, or other applicable quality standards Prior experience managing or supervising QA/QC personnel Experience with supplier quality, customer inspections, or audit processes Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed throughout the workday Ability to inspect parts, materials, weldments, and assemblies at various stages of production Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to safely navigate production areas, including around equipment, tools, materials, and moving machinery Ability to use hands and arms to handle, measure, inspect, or document parts and components Ability to visually inspect materials, welds, finished products, and documentation for accuracy and defects Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other PPE as required Ability to work in areas that may include noise, dust, fumes, heat, cold, and other conditions common to a manufacturing environment Ability to sit, use a computer, and complete documentation for extended periods as needed
