Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness. Check metal detectors (CCP), magnets, scales and perform critical control point and GMP audits. Assist in foreign material and product non-conformance investigations. Perform batch set-up checks, assist in correcting setups, and log discrepancies. Place products on hold when necessary and release them when appropriate. Reject products as necessary, completing rejection forms including root cause and corrective action analysis. Check allergen clean-out effectiveness as needed. Perform Pre-Op audits when necessary, such as after equipment maintenance. Conduct production scale checks and lab equipment calibration based on the schedule. Collect micro samples as needed and manage micro hold products. Perform special tasks as assigned, retain sample area, and control sample files. Follow all GMP and safety procedures. Essential Skills Ability to use quality control analysis equipment. Fluency in spoken and written English. Strong mathematical skills. Proficiency in computer skills and data processing. Ability to climb ladders to work on platforms. Capability to lift 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
Degree in a related field, offering quicker promotional opportunities. High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related work experience. Work Environment The position requires flexibility to work the second shift from 2pm to 10pm and the third shift from 10pm to 6am. Employees can expect a decent amount of overtime, potentially working up to 12-hour shifts. The role includes a shift differential. The work environment emphasizes adherence to GMP and safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
