Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, analyzing production data, leading root cause investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiaties. The Quality Engineer serves as the key liaison between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure product excellence and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, processes, procedures and work instructions Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards Perform root cause analysis for non-conformances and lead corrective & preventive action initiatives (8D process) Review and interpret engineering drawings GD&T, specifications, and technical documentation (i.e. PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan and QE core tools including MSA) Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure product and process quality Support supplier quality assurance efforts as needed (incoming inspection statistical analysis) Train Quality Technicians on inspection criteria and inspection processes Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits such as
VDA, ISO-9001, IATF16949, ISO
14001 and OEM requalification, etc. Training Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field OR 5+ years automotive experience in lieu of degree (optional) Work Experience 2-5 years in quality engineering role within manufacturing environment Automotive experience strongly preferred Special Knowledge FMEA & Control Plan knowledge
PPAP CMM
understanding and operation Problem solving including 8D Proficient in reading drawings and using measuring equipment (GD&T), caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards i.e, IATF-16949, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, VDA is required. Strong organization and communication skills

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
