Job Description
Quality Engineer Hopkinsville, KY Onsite, Permanent/Direct Hire, Full Benefits Relocation Assistance Available Responsibilities Serve as a technical quality resource for manufacturing, supporting stable, capable, and compliant production processes. Drive process stabilization and continuous improvement through use of Quality and Six Sigma tools, including SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, and capability analysis. Support manufacturing in meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives, with focus on scrap reduction, rework elimination, and first-pass yield improvement. Lead and support APQP activities, including development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans to prevent defects and reduce process variation. Investigate internal and customer quality issues, implement effective containment, and lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes and sustainable corrective actions. Ensure timely, accurate completion of 8D documentation and alignment with customer and internal expectations. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015, industry standards, and customer-specific requirements in daily operations. Develop, manage, and execute quality improvement action plans and support audit readiness and corrective actions. Actively support and model Brazeway's mission, vision, Code of Conduct, Process-Based Leadership principles, and 5S + Safety culture. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Engineering, and 3-5 years' experience with quality in a manufacturing environment or equivalent are required. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred Basic knowledge of traditional quality tools such as SPC, capability analysis, MSA, 5-Why, PPAP and common gauging practices. Demonstrate effective usage of advanced problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead teams in effective problem solving. Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong project management and planning abilities. Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures. Good written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations. Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
