Job Description

Job description
Quality Engineer Location:
Woburn, MA (On-site)
Reports To:
Engineering Manager About Xico Lighting Xico Lighting is a rapidly growing manufacturer of spec-grade architectural lighting, driven by precision, performance, and design excellence. As we expand our in-house manufacturing and engineering capabilities, we're seeking a Quality Engineer who not only ensures compliance and reliability today, but also brings the technical skills to shape quality into our next generation of products and processes. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations and engineering — a hands-on engineer with leadership potential who can apply engineering tools to drive quality, continuous improvement and innovation.
What You'll Do:
Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Customer Support to resolve quality issues and warranty claims. Oversee QA inspections, audits, corrective actions, and compliance documentation. Ensure customer requirements and regulatory standards are consistently met. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Design to integrate quality into new product development (NPI). Lead root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and reliability testing for lighting assemblies and components. Develop test fixtures, inspection methods, and process controls to reduce variation and defects. Lean/Six Sigma and data-driven approaches to improve manufacturing efficiency and yield. Champion a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement across the factory.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing; lighting, electronics, or high-precision assembly experience a strong plus. Knowledge of
ISO 9001, UL/ETL
compliance, Lean/Six Sigma, and advanced quality tools. Experience with failure analysis, test method development, and process engineering. ERP/MRP systems familiarity and ability to use data for decision-making. Hands-on leader, equally comfortable on the factory floor, in the lab, and in front of customers. Why Join Xico Lighting? At Xico, you'll have the chance to shape the quality discipline from the ground up while influencing the future of product development and manufacturing. This is a role for someone who wants to make an immediate impact while also growing into a strategic quality engineering leader. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and the opportunity to grow your career alongside a passionate, collaborative team redefining architectural lighting.
About Xico Lighting:
Designing Light That Moves People. At Xico Lighting, we don't just build lighting — we craft experiences that elevate how people see, feel, and perform. We believe that light is one of the most powerful tools in architecture, and our mission is to push the boundaries of what's possible with precision-engineered, beautifully designed, human-centric lighting systems.

We're a team of designers, engineers, and makers united by a shared obsession: making light work smarter, look better, and feel more natural. From our breakthrough circadian technologies to our architectural-grade linear systems, everything we build is designed with intention — to bring elegance, simplicity, and performance to modern spaces.

We work fast, think rigorously, and execute with craft. Our culture is built on curiosity, respect, and the belief that great ideas can come from anywhere. We believe in empowering talent — giving people the tools, trust, and autonomy to own their impact.
