Job Description

Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Technician III - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour. The shift hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do: The Quality Engineering Technician III will possess a working knowledge of manufacturing and processes. This individual should be able to have attention to detail, problem solving, and should have a strong knowledge of Quality standards. The Quality Engineering Technician III will have progressively more expertise and accountabilities but will work with the Quality Engineering Manager and Quality leadership.
In this function you will:
  • Coordinate tracking/status of all in-house nonconforming material. Ensuring nonconforming materials are physically segregated, secured, and quarantined. Controls the inventory locations where nonconforming materials are stored. Ensures that assigned areas are organized and orderly.
  • Processing of nonconforming material - conduct material transfers (ie. return to supplier, scrap, rework) to preserve traceability and inventory accuracy.
  • Support day to day quality tasks such as generating production quality metrics, documentation of issues, assembling customer data packs/certifications and contract review flow downs.
  • Assist with calibrating and adjusting instruments and equipment to maintain accuracy. Maintain calibration records and logs for all instruments.
  • Participate in corrective action activities, including analysis of data and trends in complaints, supplier quality, nonconforming material, training effectiveness, and root causes analysis.
  • Support regulatory and agency inspections, audits, investigations, and inquiries regarding the control and assessment of product design and manufacturing quality.

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 5 years related mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with Microsoft office products
