Job Description
Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that wire harness assemblies meet all customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and effective communication to support collaboration across Quality, Engineering, and Production teams. Key Responsibilities Perform inspection of wire harness and cable assemblies across multiple programs to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and customer requirements Utilize inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, scales, and tape measures Conduct visual inspections, including microscope inspection, to verify product quality and workmanship Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620 and
ANSI/J-STD-001
(as applicable) Identify and document nonconformances and communicate findings to Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve inspection processes and efficiency Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation Collaborate effectively with inspectors, engineers, production personnel, and customers as needed Cross-train to inspect a variety of assemblies and support multiple programs Follow work instructions and procedures while working independently with minimal supervision Qualifications & Requirements Experience in wire harness or cable assembly manufacturing preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 andANSI/J-STD-001
standards preferred Understanding of military specifications and customer-specific requirements is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and ability to learn new software systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as required Work Environment & Expectations Manufacturing environment with exposure to production floor conditions Requires standing, sitting, and use of inspection equipment for extended periods Overtime may be required based on production needsPay:
