Job Description Quality Inspector 1 & 2
Position Purpose:
Position is responsible for performing inspections on forgings, and coordinating the activities of the Quality Inspectors with
MearsurLink SPC Software Essential Functions:
Performs first/last piece, in-process and final inspections at various points during the forging process to verify dimensions and prevent/reduce rework and scrap; Performs quality sampling of new parts; Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering drawings and work instructions; Actively reports nonconforming product and create NCMs as applicable; Suggests possible corrections to processes or equipment to prevent recurring problems; Schedules, performs, and documents all inspection activities, and creates inspection reports; Issue process and part deviations; Coordinates the activities of the Quality Inspectors with MeasurLink SPC Submits files, charts and status reports on receiving, in-process and final inspections as applicable; Maintains good order and housekeeping in all areas relating to the quality inspection activities; Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of work-related accidents and provide feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions.
Education and Training:
Experience in dimensional and visual inspection ; High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of quality inspection experience; Previous experience within forging environment is preferred; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, MRP systems, and other resources ;
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of materials, specifications, and tolerances; Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, drawings, specifications and technical documents. Ability to keep accurate records. Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and/or non-conformance in processes and products and coordinate corrective action. Ability to work under pressure and adhere to schedules. Ability to work safely and keep area clean. Ability to organize work according to schedule and load. Ability to multi-task and work independently and under some pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Able to communicate clearly, concisely and achieve intended objectives Strong leadership skills to develop an effective team environment; Ability to work assigned shift and remain awake and alert during assigned shift is required; Reporting to work for assigned shift, maintaining a physical presence and performing assigned work for the duration of assigned shift is required; Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all weather conditions.

Consider factors like temperature, humidity, and power supply stability if the application is deployed in environments with specific physical conditions (e.g., IoT devices).
User Load :
Simulate varying user loads to assess how the application handles traffic and usage spikes.
Security Considerations :
Test in secure environments to ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Localization and Internationalization :
Evaluate the application in different languages and regional settings to ensure proper functionality and usability.
Accessibility Standards :
Ensure the application meets accessibility guidelines (like WCAG) across different environments to support all users.
Backup and Recovery :
Test the application's performance and functionality during backup processes or in scenarios involving data recovery.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand for an 8 hour shift. Position requires frequent twisting, turning, reaching, bending, pulling and pushing. Position occasionally requires walking, climbing, stooping, and crouching. The employee must be able to handle up to 80 lbs on a regular basis throughout the 8 hour shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Working conditions include exposure to extreme temperatures (heat) and humid conditions, dirt, and noise
