Job Description

Quality Specialist :
Monroe, WI Our client, a respected and growing organization in the agriculture and food production industry, is seeking a Quality Specialistto support plant leadership in driving food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance at their production facility. This role will lead initiatives related to HACCP, SQF, sanitation, environmental monitoring, internal audits, investigations, and product compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated quality professional who enjoys ownership, continuous improvement, and making a direct impact on plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support plant leadership in achieving food safety and quality goals Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System (SQF-based) Lead efforts to maintain SQF certification readiness and audit success Manage sanitation verification and documentation programs Oversee environmental monitoring and microbiological prevention efforts Conduct internal audits, traceability exercises, and mock recalls Investigate customer complaints, food safety incidents, and non-conformances Monitor incoming ingredients, packaging, and raw materials for compliance Verify daily quality and food safety checks are completed accurately Manage finished goods and raw material status through ERP systems Oversee integrated pest control initiatives Recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Skills & Experience :
Education :
Bachelor's Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience)
Experience :
1-3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality, required
Knowledge:
Strong investigation, documentation, & root cause analysis skills, required
Products:
Experience working with dry powder goods or powdered food products , strongly preferred
Software:
WarehouseBOS or similar WMS experience, preferred What W e
