Day Hours:
6:00am-6:00pm (2/2/3 rotation) Join a dynamic manufacturing team as a Quality Technician and play a key role in ensuring product safety and quality. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in food testing and quality assurance within a fast-paced environment. Quality Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform routine bacteriological, chemical, and physical testing of blended and spray-dried food products.
- Maintain control of all original quality documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Review production paperwork for accuracy and traceability.
- Prepare product samples for customers and external laboratory testing.
- Assist in food safety audits and SOP reviews alongside the QA Manager.
- Support calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and accurately record all testing results.
- Back up QA Lead and Manager when necessary, ensuring continuous quality monitoring.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE such as hair nets, hearing protection, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet company quality and safety standards.
Quality Tech Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Food Science, Safety, or Quality Management preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of food production experience.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive testing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally; work requires bending, reaching, and repetitive motions regularly.
