Job Description

Job Overview The Plant QA/QC Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing quality assurance activities, dimensional inspections, material traceability, shipping documentation, and customer quality requirements for flange and CNC operations. This role ensures accurate inspection, certification, documentation control, and support of shipping and production activities to maintain customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities Verify flange dimensions, surface finishes, bevels, bolt circles, thicknesses, and machining characteristics per drawings and specifications Review and maintain material traceability and heat number documentation throughout production and shipping processes Assist with preparation and review of MTR packages, certification packages, packing lists, and customer shipping documentation Verify customer requirements are properly reflected on inspection and shipping paperwork Support shipping department with inspection verification and documentation review prior to shipment Maintain inspection records and quality documentation in ERP and filing systems Assist with receiving inspection of raw materials, forgings, and subcontracted machining operations Read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and basic geometric tolerancing requirements Support internal quality audits, continuous improvement activities, and corrective action investigations Assist with calibration tracking and maintenance of inspection equipment Communicate quality concerns or nonconformances to management and production personnel Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment Support compliance with company quality procedures, ISO requirements, and customer-specific requirements Coordinate with operations, production, shipping, and sales departments to support customer delivery and quality expectations Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) to streamline quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes when deviations or non-conformances are identified during inspections or audits.
Qualifications Education Required:
4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience. Experience •
Required:
Experience with metrology, ISO quality management, Root Cause and Corrective Action techniques, production environment experience.
Preferred:
Quality Control experience.
Skills Required:
Metrology skills, Read blueprints, have understanding of geometric tolerancing.
Preferred:
Prior ISO experience and metrology background.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
