Job Description

STUDENT PROGRAM FORMAT
This student program will follow a hybrid/in-person model. Students will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan and the Quality Engineering Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan and are expected to work on-site up to 3 to 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Students are expected to work 24 hours per week, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Candidates who are selected for the program will work with their manager to determine a consistent weekly work schedule where candidates fulfill the 24-hour requirement, while balancing their class schedule. During the summer months, student employees may potentially work 40 hours per week. This determination will be at management's discretion. Applications are accepted year-round, and student program cohorts start on a quarterly basis in January, April, June, and September, and students are intended to stay in the program until graduation.

Students will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background and skill set. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department, and allow the student to provide valuable contributions. Students experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and exclusive student networking events.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS
The Warranty Recovery Student Program is responsible for the pursuit of fair and equitable cost recovery from our supplier partners. The selected candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions and the ability to communicate clearly to multiple organizations. Additionally, this person must have unquestioned integrity. Specific responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Develop and present conclusive assessments of problem responsibilitiesGather complete and timely internal supporting documentation including root cause and supporting corrective actionsInterface with various internal departments to develop cases and present to suppliers gaining concurrence of responsible costsSupport negotiations with suppliers to overcome resistance and gain appropriate recovery of costsPlan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment using a wide scope of warranty, financial, purchasing, and vehicles systemsStrong communication skills to support meetingsExhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver resultsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or universityStrong communication and presentation skills to support meetingsUndisputed integrityMicrosoft Office suite proficiencyAbility to work 24 hours per week, year-round

Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical fieldCurrently a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior at an accredited university at the time of hireStrong interest in the automotive industry and new technologiesBuild DashboardsWorking knowledge of advanced Excel including MacrosWorking knowledge of PowerBI dashboard Creation and MaintenanceLarge Data handling.
