Quote Manager Position Summary:
The Quoting & BOM Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates by reviewing customer RFQs, analyzing Bills of Material (BOMs), and coordinating pricing with internal teams and external suppliers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring competitive, compliant, and profitable quotes while maintaining data integrity across ERP/MRP systems.Key Responsibilities:
Quoting & Cost Estimation:
- Prepare detailed customer quotes including material, labor, overhead, and NRE where applicable
- Interpret customer RFQs, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure quotes meet margin, lead-time, and compliance requirements
BOM Management:
- Create, review, and maintain BOMs for quoting and production release
- Identify and resolve BOM errors and revision mismatches
- Validate AVL/AML compliance and approved alternates
- Ability to convert consumable usage as required
Supplier Pricing & Market Analysis:
- Request and validate supplier quotes
- Track component pricing, MOQ constraints, and lead times
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing strategies
Systems & Documentation:
- Maintain quote and BOM data within ERP/MRP systems
- Ensure AS9100 / ISO-compliant, audit-ready documentation
- Maintain quote history and pricing assumptions
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in quoting, BOM, or purchasing roles
- Strong Excel skills and ERP/MRP system experience Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EMS, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with
AS9100 / ISO9001
standards- Ability to read engineering drawings

- High attention to detail
- Strong analytical and cost modeling skills
- Ability to manage multiple RFQs under tight deadlines
