Job Description
Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Contract Step into an essential imaging role providing high-quality radiologic services in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Radiology Technologist or X-ray Tech skilled in advanced imaging procedures, especially in trauma and OR settings. Your responsibilities will support both patient care and the needs of referring clinicians and staff throughout the facility.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Every third weekend rotation (same hours) Call time required during your scheduled weekendKey Qualifications:
Proficiency in both routine and surgical/OR radiology procedures Previous experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Hospital is essential Credentialed as a Radiologic Technologist with current ARRT (R) certification Strong ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-acuity settings Demonstrated communication skills with medical staff, ancillary departments, and patients Knowledge of radiation safety standards and ALARA principles Familiarity with hospital information service systems Current BLS certificationResponsibilities:
Perform portable, fluoroscopic, and operating room radiology procedures accurately and efficiently Collaborate with referring physicians, radiologists, and other medical professionals to deliver coordinated care Uphold rigorous radiation safety and infection control practices Thoroughly document procedures and provide clear patient education Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, policies, and regulatory documentation Maintain operational and safety standards for all imaging equipment Take part in on-call duties and provide support during weekend rotations This position places you at the forefront of patient care, directly supporting clinicians and upholding excellence in imaging services.
