$20.67/hour Join a Team Where Your Skills Make a Difference American Fork Hospital is seeking a motivated Limited Radiology Technologist to support high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. In this PRN role, you'll play a key part in delivering safe, accurate imaging while working alongside a supportive care team dedicated to exceptional outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in a radiologic technology program to gain hands-on clinical experience and build a strong foundation for their future career. Key Responsibilities Practice within the scope of state licensure and maintain required ARRT or modality-specific competencies Ensure proper patient identification and verify orders prior to imaging Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear, compassionate education Perform imaging exams according to department protocols Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy Adhere to all radiation safety standards and maintain a safe work environment Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or image quality Apply proper infection control and sterile techniques Operate imaging equipment and related systems effectively Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient history, and any adverse reactions Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment reporting Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of anatomy and image evaluation Proficiency in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems Knowledge of contrast protocols and emergency response procedures Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Effective communication and patient interaction skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a JRCERT- or AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program Documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (current) Why Join American Fork Hospital? Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
