THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a rare kind of person — someone who doesn't just want a job, but a life. Rockville Commons is a remote, off-grid ranch in the high desert of Owyhee County, Idaho, completely surrounded by BLM land. No private neighbors for miles. Big sky. Absolute quiet.

to build one of the first true ecolonomic demonstration ranches in the American West — where regenerative agriculture, circular economy principles, and land stewardship come together into something that actually works.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Live on-site full-time in our provided housing Serve as the eyes, ears, and hands of the property Assist with ongoing ranch development — fencing, water systems, animal care, garden/pasture work Support regenerative agriculture projects as the ranch grows Coordinate with ownership remotely on projects and progress Welcome visitors and work crews

This role is vital in ensuring the health and safety of livestock, maintaining farm infrastructure, and supporting agricultural activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal husbandry and farm management. You will play a key role in creating a well-organized, productive environment that promotes sustainable farming practices and animal welfare. Responsibilities Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring to ensure their well-being. Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct routine repairs and maintenance on fences, barns, equipment, and other farm structures using hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic mechanical skills. Assist with planting, harvesting, greenhouse management, and crop cultivation to support growing operations. Manage animal handling tasks with care and expertise, including equine care if applicable. Supervise other team members or seasonal workers to ensure tasks are completed effectively and safely. Maintain detailed records of animal health treatments, equipment repairs, inventory levels, and daily activities. Preferrable Experience Proven supervising experience in farm or ranch settings with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance. Hands-on experience with animal husbandry practices across various species; equine experience is highly valued. Familiarity with farming operations including irrigation systems, greenhouse management, horticulture, and growing techniques. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other power tools safely. Knowledge of basic math for measurements, calculations related to feed rations or crop yields. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards in a physically demanding environment.
