Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a vital role providing behavioral support for middle school students in a dynamic educational setting near Providence, RI. This contract opportunity runs from now through June 18, 2026, offering a chance to impact students' lives while growing your professional experience. You'll collaborate with educators, offer classroom support, and help manage and reduce challenging behaviors including elopement, hallway disruptions, and aggression. What we're looking for: At least one year of behavioral support experience, ideally in middle or high school environments Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Completed National BCI preferred for immediate placement Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to upholding ethical standards and supporting student well-being Day-to-day responsibilities: Deliver whole class behavioral support in a middle school setting Implement behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a licensed Behavior Analyst Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to create a positive learning atmosphere Assist in data collection and documentation related to behavioral plans and student progress Provide crisis management and support when necessary Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to best practices in behavior intervention This full-time position offers 32.5 hours per week, giving you a consistent schedule during the school year. While there is currently no guarantee of contract renewal for ESY or NSY, this role provides a valuable opportunity to make a difference in a supportive educational environment.
