There's no way you will get bored. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic CPA with a strong background in real estate, business taxation, and investor-focused tax planning . This role will lead tax compliance, planning, and reporting across a portfolio of real estate entities and operating businesses. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in partnership taxation, entity structuring, and real estate-specific tax strategies, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with ownership, investors, and internal accounting teams to optimize tax outcomes, ensure compliance, and support business growth. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping tax strategy for real estate investments while contributing directly to the financial success of the organization. Key Responsibilities CPA required Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for real estate holdings and operating businesses , including entity structuring, cost segregation considerations, depreciation, 1031 exchanges, and long-term tax planning. Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations, and individuals, ensuring accuracy and timely filing. Manage tax compliance for real estate portfolios , including multi-entity structures and investor reporting. Provide guidance on estate and succession planning for business owners and real estate investors, including trusts, wills, and asset protection strategies. Collaborate with leadership on acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, and restructures , ensuring tax implications are properly evaluated and integrated. Analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP , identifying tax planning opportunities and risks. Lead and support tax audits and reviews , coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities as needed. Maintain and strengthen internal controls related to tax processes and financial reporting, including SOX compliance where applicable. Utilize accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, TaxDome and CCH , ensuring accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger oversight. Prepare clear, detailed tax projections, filings, and reports for ownership and senior management to support informed business decisions. Stay current on changing tax laws and real estate regulations , proactively advising on compliance and tax-saving strategies. Tax resolution with the IRS Required Skills & Qualifications Extensive experience in real estate and business tax accounting , including partnerships and multi-entity structures. Strong working knowledge of GAAP , tax compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in QuickBooks, CCH software (preferred), and advanced Excel. In-depth understanding of real estate tax strategies , including depreciation, entity structuring, investor allocations, and estate planning. Experience supporting real estate transactions , mergers & acquisitions, private investments, and asset management. Solid background in financial statement preparation , balance sheet and account reconciliations, and general ledger management. Tax prep experience for personal and all business returns. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and tax data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly to business owners and investors. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
