Job Description

Position Overview Systel and its affiliated real estate entities are seeking a Real Estate Operations & Marketing Manager to support a growing portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This role goes beyond traditional property management—combining day-to-day operations, leasing, marketing, and project coordination into a dynamic, hands-on position. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn, with an interest in real estate, operations, and marketing. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both stabilized property management and active real estate projects, while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities Property Operations & Maintenance Oversee daily operations of residential and commercial properties Manage and coordinate two in-house maintenance technicians Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and vendor services Assist with planning and execution of small renovations and capital improvement projects Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, both functionally and visually Leasing & Tenant Relations Conduct property showings for prospective residential and small commercial tenants Manage leasing process including applications, screening, and lease execution Post and manage listings through platforms such as AppFolio and other marketing channels Serve as primary point of contact for tenant communication and issue resolution Coordinate with third-party property management firms for leasing and management of larger assets Owner's Representative Functions Coordinate with third-party real estate agents and brokers for property sales Oversee and support external leasing partners to ensure alignment with ownership goals Act as a central point of coordination between ownership, tenants, and vendors Help track property performance and support decision-making on leasing and operations Financial & Administrative Management Collect rents and monitor accounts receivable Review and approve invoices for submission to the Accounts Payable department Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and cost control initiatives Maintain accurate property records, leases, and documentation Coordinate with insurance brokers on property coverage, renewals, and claims as part of overall property administration Growth, Marketing & Projects Create and manage marketing materials for available properties, including flyers, listings, and digital content Assist with website updates and manage social media presence for properties and development projects Help position and promote properties to improve leasing activity and visibility Identify opportunities to enhance property value through presentation, light improvements, and marketing strategies Support special projects, including new developments, amenity rollouts, or community initiatives General Office & Support Functions Answer incoming calls and respond to property-related inquiries Coordinate scheduling for showings, maintenance, and vendor access Participate in after-hours coverage for emergency property issues, ensuring timely coordination with maintenance staff or vendors Support ownership and leadership with special projects and day-to-day operational needs Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or working toward one) in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field preferred Prior experience in an office, administrative, customer service, or real estate-related role is a plus, but not required Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities Interest in real estate, property operations, and marketing Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the role Experience with tools like AppFolio, social media platforms, or basic design tools is a plus What We're Looking For A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving Strong attention to detail and follow-through A team player who can also take ownership of tasks and projects Interest in building skills across operations, leasing, and marketing Work Environment This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
