Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a Financial Services organization in San Mateo, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming office experience while handling calls, visitors, and administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism. The successful candidate will bring strong communication skills, a confident presence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. This entry level role is part-time Monday to Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm. There is free parking, complimentary snacks, and close to a vibrant area in San Mateo, CA.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors, clients, and team members while maintaining an organized and efficient front desk environment.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, directing them to the appropriate contacts, and taking clear messages when needed.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support such as monitoring shared spaces, coordinating basic office needs, and assisting with routine clerical tasks.
  • Handle inbound inquiries with courtesy and efficiency, ensuring each interaction reflects a high standard of customer service.
  • Keep reception and common areas presentable and ready for guests throughout the workday.
  • Support scheduling and coordination needs for meetings, deliveries, and office visitors as requested.
  • Maintain accurate records related to calls, visitors, and other front desk activities.
  • Assist with part-time coverage needs while remaining dependable and responsive during assigned hours.
