As the Records Management & Document Control (RMDC) Manager, you'll lead a high‑performing team responsible for the lifecycle of both classified and unclassified documents that support operations, engineering, maintenance, training, procurement, and construction activities. In this role, you'll shape the strategy, structure, and daily operation of the RMDC program—ensuring accurate, secure, and compliant handling of essential records. You'll collaborate with internal partners, interface with regulatory agencies, and serve as the subject matter expert who strengthens the organization's information governance framework. If you are energized by leadership, process improvement, and playing a pivotal part in compliance and organizational success, this role is for you. What You'll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of RMDC Specialists, setting clear objectives and fostering professional growth.
  • Participate in candidate selection and onboarding through training plans, coaching, and hands‑on guidance.
  • Build, implement, and continuously improve RMDC processes, workflows, and procedures.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of controlled documents, approved forms, and records across multiple programs and regulatory frameworks.
  • Serve as the go‑to expert for document/records handling practices required by NRC, DOE, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Train employees across HQ and OR locations on Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Support field teams with proper loading, classification, and control of documents in the
ACP EDMS.
  • Author, interpret, and maintain departmental procedures and policies, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Ensure proper management of classified records, including periodic inventory of controlled materials.
  • Act as the primary RMDC contact during NRC/DOE inspections and audits.
  • Lead RMDC program assessments and drive corrective action where needed.
  • Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting to support internal stakeholders.
  • Perform EDMS administrative functions and collaborate with IT on system improvements.
  • Develop statements of work, manage vendor relationships, and monitor RMDC budget performance.
  • Oversee classified document mailing procedures and RMDC responsibilities under DOE contract requirements.
  • Lead special projects and other assignments that advance RMDC operations. What You Bring
  • A passion for structure, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong decision‑making skills with the ability to operate independently and confidently.
  • Proven experience supervising people, processes, or projects.
  • The ability to interpret policies and regulations and translate them into practical, effective workflows.
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain) an NRC "Q" level security clearance.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of RMDC or closely related experience, including at least two years supporting ACP or similar regulated programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience supporting records/document control in a regulated environment. What Sets You Apart
  • Existing DOE or NRC "Q" clearance.
  • Additional technical training or an Associate degree in a related field.
  • Formal training in document/file management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
Why This Role Matters You'll play a central role in ensuring Centrus meets its regulatory obligations and maintains a strong, compliant, efficient information‑management environment.
