Recreation Leader

Job Summary Join our Recreation team this summer! Stanford Rec is seeking two motivated individuals to fill the position of Recreation Leader. This seasonal role runs from the end of June through the end of August. Recreation Leaders oversee the daily operations of our recreation park and waterfront program, including supervision of staff and ensuring a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for participants of all ages. Requirements and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the recreation park and waterfront, including supervision of staff Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals of all ages Learn, understand, and teach the park's computer system Ensure park and waterfront rules and regulations are followed; provide enforcement when necessary Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or incidents Manage cash handling and perform accurate cash counts Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills in high-priority situations Maintain organization, timeliness, and a clean work environment Enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented setting Availability for some weekend hours is required Experience Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma or GED certificate One (1) year of experience which involved conducting, organizing, and leading recreation activities

NOTE:

College study in recreation leadership or a related field may be substituted for the experience (30 credits equals one year). Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not required. Prior experience working with children and/or teens is highly desirableble.

Pay:

$20.50 per hour
