Role:

Devoted Educational Solutions is seeking a compassionate and qualified Recreational Therapist to provide part-time services to students across multiple school sites. This is a school-based, independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and a collaborative support team. The current caseload requires 190 minutes (3 hours and 10 minutes) per week of direct services, based on student IEPs. In addition to providing direct services, the Recreational Therapist will be responsible for: Conducting student assessments Developing individualized treatment goals Attending annual IEP meetings Collaborating with school teams and families

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following certification requirements: Certificate issued by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification Certificate issued by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association authorizing services in recreation or therapeutic recreation

Ideal Candidate:

Has experience working with children and/or students with special needs Is organized, professional, and able to manage a flexible schedule Enjoys working in a school setting and being part of a collaborative team Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites (mileage not reimbursed)

Schedule:

Services are delivered during school hours Schedule to be determined based on school and student availability

Compensation:
