Support the ongoing development and effectiveness of the Reentry Council, ensuring active participation and alignment across partners.
Coordinate and facilitate regular council meetings, including agenda development, communication, and follow-up.2. Support the day-to-day coordination and flow of services across partner agencies and internal programs.3. Department Program CoordinationSupport the planning, coordination, and implementation of Economic Empowerment Department programs and activities, including reentry services.
Ensure alignment and smooth flow across program areas, including workforce development, financial literacy, and other initiatives.
Coordinate schedules, activities, and communication across program components to support effective service delivery.
Identify and address coordination gaps that impact participant access, experience, or program efficiency.
Support cross-program collaboration to ensure participants experience a cohesive and integrated service pathway.4. Partnership Development & Systems AlignmentDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with service providers, community organizations, and institutional partners.
Support the development and implementation of partnership agreements and collaborative practices.
Identify service gaps and opportunities to strengthen the reentry and economic empowerment ecosystem.5. Participant Support Coordination (Non-Supervisory)Collaborate with case managers and service providers to support participant progress and address barriers.
Ensure participants are connected to coordinated, participant-centered services across systems.
Elevate complex cases, service gaps, or partner challenges to the Community Engagement & Development Director for resolution and decision-making.6. Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of referrals, services, and participant outcomes.
Prepare reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Utilize data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improving program effectiveness and service delivery.7. Community Engagement & AdvocacyRepresent the Local Reentry Council and Economic Empowerment Department at community meetings, events, and collaborative forums.
Promote awareness of reentry and economic empowerment services.
Advocate for the needs and interests of participants within the community.
Role Scope & Decision-Making AuthorityThe Reentry & Economic Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program activities, referrals, and partner engagement across the Local Reentry Council and Economic Empowerment Department.
This role does not include supervisory responsibilities or final decision-making authority related to case management, partner conflict resolution, or program oversight.
These responsibilities are held by the Community Engagement & Development Director, who provides strategic direction, program accountability, and oversight of service quality.
QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in criminal justice, social work, public administration, or a related field preferredRelevant work experience in reentry, workforce development, human services, or nonprofit programming may be considered in lieu of formal education13 years of experience in program coordination, case management support, or community-based services preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and prioritiesAbility to build and maintain relationships with diverse partners and stakeholdersUnderstanding of reentry challenges, workforce development, and/or economic empowerment servicesStrong communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and engage community partnersAbility to identify problems, track issues, and escalate appropriatelyCommitment to participant-centered, dignity-driven service deliveryComputer SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with data tracking systems or case management systems preferredCertificates & RequirementsValid drivers licenseMental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire) recblid r56swgz7fwxf3aaj2i4mcu5y0h1ymz
