Job Description
POSITION TITLE
REFRIGERATIONSUB-ASSEMBLER POSITION DEPARTMENT
ProductionPOSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Assemble refrigeration components and subassemblies used in commercial warming and refrigeration equipment. Perform brazing, tubing fabrication, and mechanical assembly tasks to support production flow and ensure product quality and consistency. Work from standard work instructions, drawings, and specifications to build reliable assemblies that meet FWE quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working with hand tools and brazing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform brazing of copper lines and refrigeration components following standard procedures. 2. Cut, bend, and form copper tubing for refrigeration assemblies. 3. Assemble evaporators, frames, and other refrigeration subassemblies. 4. Build internal assemblies using prepared subcomponents. 5. Install insulation on refrigeration components and assemblies. 6. Interpret basic assembly instructions and drawings to complete builds accurately. 7. Use tape measures, hand tools, and power tools to complete assembly tasks. 8. Maintain consistent quality and workmanship standards across all assemblies. 9. Identify and communicate defects, material issues, or assembly concerns to Supervisor. 10. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. 11. Support cross training and assist in other production areas as needed. 12. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 13. Perform other related duties as requested by management.QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (tape measure)
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn brazing and welding techniques
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work from basic drawings or work orders
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrated reliability and good work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred Experience with brazing, welding, or refrigeration systems is a plus but not requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS
