This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex refrigeration equipment, perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs that keep essential systems running smoothly. Duties Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems such as boilers, air conditioning units, plumbing fixtures, and property maintenance equipment. Perform field service tasks including appliance repairs, equipment diagnostics, welding, and component replacements. Use testing tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure system integrity. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including proper handling of refrigerants like ammonia and adherence to environmental regulations. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in refrigeration, HVAC design, plumbing, and boiler systems. Proven service technician experience with a focus on equipment repair in commercial or industrial settings. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC/R principles effectively. Experience with field service operations involving property maintenance or appliance repair. Skilled in welding techniques and the use of hand tools for mechanical repairs. Familiarity with construction practices related to installing or upgrading HVAC systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred.
