Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and related mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and other mechanical equipment, contributing to a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for field service professionals who thrive on problem-solving and technical challenges. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical equipment. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement. Conduct field service visits to client sites to perform appliance repairs, property maintenance tasks, or emergency troubleshooting. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs. Ensure compliance with safety standards when handling refrigerants like ammonia and operating heavy machinery such as forklifts. Rotating call schedule required. Experience 3+ years of proven experience as a service technician specializing in refrigeration systems, HVAC/R equipment, or property maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and installation. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and plumbing systems. Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or boiler maintenance tasks. Prior field service experience involving appliance repair or property upkeep is preferred. Valid driver's license with clean driving record EPA 608 certification required Demonstrated ability to work independently in various environments while adhering to safety protocols.
