  • 5/20/2026 The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking a sophisticated Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Region One Director.
This role is designed for a professional communicator who excels at managing complex operations and acting as a liaison to public and private stakeholders. As a key representative of UDOT's initiatives, you will play a vital role in supporting Region One. Join us for a rewarding career with a team dedicated to excellence. Key Responsibilities As the Region Director's Assistant, you will:
Empower Regional Leadership:
Act as a strategic administrative partner to the Region Director and Deputy Director, ensuring their priorities are met with precision. Serve as a
Brand Ambassador:
Create a world-class first impression by managing the front office and providing high-touch customer service to every visitor and caller.
Mastermind Workflow & Operations:
Navigate complex organizational needs by acting as the primary resource for management, staff, and external stakeholders.
Facilitate Inter-Agency Collaboration:
Serve as a key liaison between UDOT and local governments, consulting firms, and partner organizations to keep projects moving forward.
Manage Executive Communication:
Draft high-stakes correspondence and reports, ensuring all outgoing materials meet UDOT's professional standards.
Direct Action & Accountability:
Oversee the flow of regional correspondence, initiating responses and tracking action items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Resolve & Educate:
Act as a front-line problem solver, researching public inquiries and explaining policies to turn concerns into resolutions. Qualifications What you'll need to succeed:
A Proven Professional Background:
You have a solid foundation in office administration, with a preference for those who bring 5+ years of experience supporting executive-level leadership.
Digital Fluency:
You are highly proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and can leverage these tools to streamline workflows.
Interpersonal Excellence:
You possess a sophisticated communication style and a personable demeanor that allows you to interface effectively with everyone from the general public to government officials.
Organizational Mastery:
You have a gift for managing moving parts, prioritizing tasks under pressure, and maintaining an immaculate attention to detail.
Educational Foundation:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. About the Role Location
