FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
The Regional Band Festival Director provides support for middle and high school band programs across the participating counties. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a high-quality multi-county Regional Band Festival while fostering collaboration among school systems, directors, and community partners. The ideal candidate is an experienced music educator with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. 1. Support regional middle and high school band programs across participating counties in preparation for the Regional Band Festival. 2. Serve as a liaison among county school systems, band directors, and community partners. 3. Plan and execute a two-day multi-county Regional Band Festival. 4. Oversee scheduling, logistics, and programming for the festival. 5. Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, transportation, equipment, and accommodations. 6. Manage event budgets, funding sources, and shared regional resources. 7. Coordinate adjudicators and guest clinicians. 8. Collaborate with the host school principal to coordinate festival activities. 9. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and school policies. 10. Evaluate festival effectiveness and implement continuous improvements. 11. Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to the Regional Band Festival. 12. Work evenings and weekends as necessary, particularly during festival planning and execution.
