TAPCO:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the leadership, training, and development of regional sales team(s) of inside and outside sales professionals to manage a team-based approach that will grow profitable sales for TAPCO year over year. This individual will manage and oversee the day to day operations of the team(s) with specific focus on capital project management and key performance indicators that drive success and consistent sales growth to meet revenue and profitability goals set by the
Vice President of Sales and Marketing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Grows profitable sales for TAPCO year over year, based on each regional area of responsibility Works closely with product managers, customer service department, and regional sales staff to effectively monitor ETO (Engineered to Order) sales quote requests in Basecamp Responsible for escalated phone calls, complaints, and other situations in which a manager has been requested or is needed to ensure customer satisfaction and residual business Keeps ownership and sales team informed of ongoing sales and market trends through ongoing industry education in the form of webinars, conferences, product training, and hands-on customer interaction Continuous identification, monitoring, and reporting to management team of key performance indicators for sales success Provides ownership with sales tracking and a comprehensive quarterly report on regional sales team(s) efforts Works with the marketing department to derive and carry out campaigns, trainings, and webinars for key industry verticals to increase TAPCO brand awareness and grow sales Locates, Trains, Manages, and Sustains TAPCO-Made Distributor staff and sales in each respective region. Responsible for the continual process improvement to help streamline the sales process and increase selling time for the sales team(s) Assists with the development and review of policies and procedures for TAPCO products Trains, motivates, and develops TAPCO staff in order to meet the current and future needs of the department and the company Challenges others to develop as leaders, while serving as a role model and mentor Maintains discipline, resolves problems, determines performance, and recommends promotions, transfers, or dismissals. Required Qualifications and KSA Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing related field and/or commensurate on-the-job experience 3 + years outside business to business sales experience within a related industry Prior experience working with municipalities and the bidding process preferred Possess and maintains a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; sales database Demonstrated experience working independently and within a regional team Ability to travel as needed outside to customers Ability to collaborate internally interdepartmentally to help TAPCO comply with contract guidelines Ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment Ability to assess needs and solve problems Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Must be outgoing and able to take the initiative Proactively find new customers while building relationships and servicing existing customers' needs Must enjoy selling and finding solutions to customers' needs Strong group presentation skills
