Regional Summer School Teaching Assistant

Position Overview CiTi BOCES is seeking student-centered Teaching Assistants to support Regional Summer School programs serving students in grades 9-12. Teaching Assistants will work closely with classroom teachers to support instruction, reinforce learning, and help ensure a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes student success. Responsibilities Support classroom instruction under the direction of the teacher Provide assistance to individual students and small groups Help reinforce key concepts and support completion of assignments Assist in supporting diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Support classroom management and routines Monitor student progress and assist with feedback as directed by the teacher Assist with attendance and basic record-keeping Communicate with teachers and administrators regarding student needs Participate in required orientation and training sessions Fulfill all duties associated with summer school procedures, expectations, and timelines

Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (or eligibility to obtain)
