Job Overview Join our team as a Register of Deeds Clerk, a vital role dedicated to maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of property transactions and legal documents. In this energetic position, you will be the cornerstone of ensuring that property records are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal standards. Your expertise will support real estate professionals, legal practitioners, and the public by providing exceptional customer service and precise document management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the integrity of property records while developing valuable skills. Some experience preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate! Responsibilities Process and record property deeds, mortgages, liens, and other legal documents with meticulous attention to detail. Conduct research on property titles using various resources to verify ownership and legal status. Review documents for compliance with local laws and regulations related to real estate transactions. Assist customers by providing clear guidance on document requirements, procedures, and record retrieval. Maintain organized filing systems for all recorded documents, ensuring easy access and data integrity. Collaborate with law offices, title companies, and government agencies to facilitate accurate title processing and record updates. Qualifications Knowledge of real estate law, title processing procedures, and legal documentation standards preferred but willing to train the right person! Excellent customer service abilities with a professional and approachable demeanor. Previous experience working in a government records department is highly desirable. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Basic proficiency in computer applications such as document management systems and office software.
