Job Description

Overview Thriving Lives is a small BCBA-owned and led practice providing insurance-funded Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and clinical behavior analysis services for children and adolescents in Southeastern Connecticut. Our approach blends evidence-based ABA with emotional regulation, nervous system safety, whole-person care, and an emphasis on supportive parent training. We are a highly collaborative, relationship-centered practice and are currently expanding toward more intensive home and clinic-based supports while maintaining individualized, developmentally respectful treatment. This is an ideal position for an RBT who values clinical quality, mentorship, and meaningful connection with families. You will work directly with the BCBA/owner. Responsibilities Provide direct ABA therapy using individualized treatment plans Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under supervision from BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other self-care tasks to promote independence Collect accurate session data Collaborate with caregivers, BCBA and treatment team Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, engagement, and emotional well-being for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records securely Participate in supervision and ongoing training Maintain RBT and agency documentation requirements Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is home, school, and clinic settings is highly preferred Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing teaching strategies in educational or clinical settings Familiarity with ABA documentation, medical terminology, and maintaining accurate records Understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices is advantageous Ability to collect data systematically and utilize it to inform intervention adjustments Patience, compassion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting diverse populations in a caring manner
Qualifications Required:
Current RBT certification - Please do not apply if you do not hold this certification High school diploma (Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field preferred) Experience working with children or adolescents Reliable transportation for local travel
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience with autism and/or anxiety, rigidity, or emotional regulation goals Interest in long-term growth within the field of ABA and with Thriving Lives! Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour
