Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. As an integral part of our clinic, you will support dentists with chairside assistance, patient management, and clinical procedures, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient health status throughout procedures; document findings accurately. Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and documentation. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and other medical imaging devices to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Uphold infection control protocols by practicing proper aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean clinical environment at all times. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient care quality. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and X-ray safety protocols. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently across various specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when applicable. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail; experience with medical imaging and 3D scanners is advantageous.
