Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient use, adhering to aseptic techniques. Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary, ensuring accurate medical documentation is maintained. Manage patient records and medical documentation efficiently using Open Dental software. Provide support in pediatric dentistry as well as general dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of anatomy related to dental practices is essential. Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental software for medical records management is highly desirable. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
