Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education, ensuring each patient leaves with a brighter smile. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care to foster lifelong healthy habits. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards. Monitor and record vital signs before procedures to ensure patient safety, especially in pediatric dentistry cases. Support infection control practices by sterilizing instruments, managing medical records securely, and adhering to OSHA guidelines. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review, scheduling, and billing processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and uphold the highest standards of general dentistry care. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing compassionate care for children is highly preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to manage patient records efficiently. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting tasks alongside hygienists or dentists when needed. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and patient privacy. $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
