Schedule Part-Time Hours:

25-30 hours per week

Tuesday:

7:45 AM•6:00

PM Wednesday:

7:45 AM•6:00

PM Thursday:

7:45 AM•5:00 PM Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance, including scaling's, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, updating periodontal chartings, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing local anesthesia when qualified. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during treatments. Experience Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments, demonstrating proficiency in dental terminology and patient care. Familiarity with dental office software (Dentrix) for documentation review and dental coding. Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and HIPAA compliance standards. Strong understanding of medical records management, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review processes.
