Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and personalized treatment plans to enhance their dental health. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding for billing purposes. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance. Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team.

Pay:

$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
