Registered Dental Hygienist

Summary:

Davis and Wine Dental Practice, LLC is a privately owned specialty practice with 3 Prosthodontists and 1 Periodontist. Currently we have three different locations, one in Pooler, and 2 in the Bluffton area. We are growing so, currently we are looking for a dental hygienists for all three offices. The perfect candidates will be able to complete all preventive care appointments and chart conditions as prescribed by Dentist. Pay is $50 per hour. Currently our hygiene hours are 7-3 or 8-4, your choice. Part-time or Full-time.

Responsibilities :

• Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis.
• Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Maintain instruments by sharpening and sterilizing.
• Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening.
• Collect medical and dental histories from patients.
• Chart dental conditions in Dentrix Ascend based on dentist's observations and evaluations.
• Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care.
• Take X-rays with Dentrix Ascend.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor's preferred) Current state license required. Excellent verbal communication skills Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Current CPR certification required
