Job Title:
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)\Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on proper oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist in delivering quality care. The RDH will work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing. Examine patients' oral health by reviewing their medical history and conducting periodontal assessments. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under the supervision of the dentist (if applicable). Screen for oral health issues, such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and oral cancer. Record patient health histories and update medical charts as needed.Patient Education:
Provide patients with instructions on brushing, flossing, and overall oral care. Educate patients about the effects of diet and lifestyle on oral health. Offer guidance on preventive treatments to help patients maintain long-term dental health.Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the dentist and dental assistant to develop treatment plans. Assist the dentist during procedures by providing support and preparing necessary instruments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilize instruments.Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documentation, and X-ray logs. Schedule patient appointments and manage records in dental practice management software. Handle patient inquiries and assist with billing and insurance claims.Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Florida Valid CPR/BLS certification.Experience:
Proven experience as a dental hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred. Experience in periodontal care, dental X-ray procedures, and patient education is a plus.Skills & Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, practices, and protocols. Strong communication skills to educate and interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work well with a team and provide exceptional patient care.Salary & Benefits:
