Registered Dental Hygienist Sebewaing, MI 48759 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Job Summary Join our dental family as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will elevate patient care and promote optimal oral health. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice for optimal dental health. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying topical anesthetics or fluoride treatments while maintaining aseptic techniques. Utilize dental software systems like Dentrix Ascend for accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper handling of medical records and documentation review.
