Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and medication management tailored to individual needs. Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile processing to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical records. Deliver specialized nursing services including behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on diagnostic evaluations involving laboratory experience, radiology (e.g., sonography), and medical imaging procedures. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state certification. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or group home facilities. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience with advanced procedures such as medication administration , straight cauterization, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and conduct specimen collection/processing efficiently. Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching, medication administration, discharge instructions, and family planning when applicable. Knowledge of infection control practices and compliance with HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information. Flexibility to work in inpatient or outpatient settings including medical-surgical units or specialty clinics such as geriatrics or pediatrics.
