Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Occupational Health Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce. In this role, you will provide clinical care, injury management, health education, and regulatory support to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Key Accountabilities Provide and manage first aid, emergency care, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses, including documentation and implementation plans for follow-up care based on stand order and medical directives. Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work and when to refer them to an outside medical provider. Collaborate with Management, Human Resources, and Safety teams to assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs. Assist with onsite testing, to include Drug & Alcohol, Audiometric, and the Hearing Conservation Program. Participate in workplace hazard assessments and safety programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local occupational health regulations. Conduct safety and ergonomic training. Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia. Current CPR/BLS certification Minimum of [2+ years] nursing experience; occupational health, emergency, or urgent care experience Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and handle confidential information Preferred Skills Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S) preferred Experience with workers' compensation case management Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Benefits (if applicable) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance
Position Information:
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. This position has a schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with flexibility to support 2nd shift as needed.
