Job Description

Overview NVS Strategic Solutions is hiring ten (10) Registered Nurses for evening (2nd Shift) and overnight (3rd Shift) positions at Selinsgrove Center, a Pennsylvania Department of Human Services state-operated facility serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a high-volume, immediate-need hire with strong compensation, predictable shifts, and the meaningful work of supporting residents who require long-term, person-centered care. RNs at Selinsgrove Center play a central clinical role on the care team — providing direct nursing care, leading on medication administration and treatments, supporting LPNs and direct care staff, and ensuring residents' health, safety, and dignity around the clock. Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in accordance with PA RN scope of practice and Selinsgrove Center protocols Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments Administer medications (oral, topical, injectable, IV) per physician orders and document accurately Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans Provide treatments including wound care, dressing changes, and clinical procedures Monitor residents with chronic and complex medical conditions (diabetes, seizure disorders, cardiac, respiratory, GI, behavioral health) Respond to acute medical events and coordinate transfer to higher level of care when indicated Conduct intake and admission assessments as needed Direct and supervise LPNs and direct support staff in the delivery of resident care Provide clinical guidance on medication administration, treatments, and care plan execution Lead shift handoffs and coordinate care continuity with incoming staff Mentor and support newer team members Required Requirements Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or higher) Current
BLS / CPR
certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Minimum 1 year of RN experience in any clinical setting (developmental disabilities, long-term care, hospital, skilled nursing, or state facility preferred) Clean PA Criminal History Background Check (PATCH) and PA Child Abuse History Clearance FBI Fingerprint-Based Background Check (required for PA state-operated facility employment) Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical assessment Reliable transportation to Selinsgrove Center (rural Snyder County, PA) For 3rd Shift candidates: demonstrated ability to work overnight shifts reliably Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
